Some of my friends say it is terrible and others say it is better than Outback.

It's not bad. The local Outback here is better, though. Outback's "shrimp on the barbie" and Victoria's fillet cannot be beat at that price!

Lone Star has GREAT burgers, though. Good if you're eating lunch, or on the cheap.

Is this the place that will give you the steak for free if you can eat the 72oz. steak in an hour? I know there are some places like that...but don't remember which ones...

Here, lone star is anything but cheap. Personally I'm not that fond of them or the outback. Their steaks here just dont impress me. At lone star if I order a steak and fries the steak is "juicing"in a 1/4" puddle on the bottom of my plate and the fries are all wet. I dont like that

Once I had lone-Star and it sucked so I told the manager, he in-turn gave me 2-free dinners for two

I love Outback.... everything was "On the BARBIE!!!" Heheh, me and my lil bro went, and cracked up the wait staff, cuz we wanted everything "ON THE BARBIE!!!" . These guys are great.

I prefer Lone Star over Outback. Its cheaper per meal and Outback usually charges extra for their dinner salads. Spent way too many nights eating in these places. I still miss the buckets of peanuts from Lone Star. They were great.
