Edited title to indicate that this deal is long over.

NMewspaper ad today shows Office Depot having the Samsung ML-2010 laser printer SKU 212792 for $29.99 after $60 and $40 MIRs. Good today through Staurday, 6/22-6/24.

Link to printer.

Link to $40 MIR.

Link to $60 rebate.

Ad says in-store only. (Shrugs shoulders.)

I have this printer.
I am very happy with it. Print quality is excellent. Comes with an ink cartridge. I got it from OD for $80.00 (+ tax) with a $50.00 rebate from Samsung.
You need a USB cable (not included) too.
It does not work on Vista yet.

What is the ink cartridge for?

How does print quality compare to an HP (I have a LaserJet 6)?

Also, how "safe" are these Office Depot rebates?

I got mine from newegg for 49.99 a/r a week ago.

It's a good little printer. It's a little loud when it's getting ready to print, and the fan stays on for about five minutes after you print, but it shouldn't be a big annoyace.

I just ran over and got one. They tried to sell me a $24 protection plan that I was tempted to buy, but didn't. They said if anything went wrong (other than consumables related) you get your full purchase price of $129 back. Any thoughts?

So you would be able to use both rebate forms then? If so, this is smoking hot.

It's advertised with both rebates so I don't know why you wouldn't be able to use both.

Any idea what the consumables cost for this laser printer? Generally, it seems that cheap printers equate to expensive consumables, but I don't know if that applies to this laser printer.

My mistake!
I meant to say it comes with a starter toner. So, you do not have to get a toner separately to start printing. But, obviously I wrote ink cartridge by mistake.

We ordered it from ChiefValue a while ago as well. Pretty happy with the printer...although it is loud. It's almost like a Thermaltake Crystal Orb for 5 minutes.

Generic cartridges can be found over at 4inkjets.com for around $45 w/FW discount. OEM cartridges are about double that.

I bought one of these last November in a rebate deal and have been very happy with it. It came with a starter toner cartridge that lasted several months (I have the printer configured to default to "toner saver mode" and change the regular mode only when I need high quality output). When the starter cartridge ran out, I used an Office Depot Ink coupon and bought a new one for less than I was used to paying for a full set of ink jet cartridges and it has already outlasted them.

I still use my inkjet printer when I want color but this is now my primary printer. The extra noise is noticeable at first; now I guess I'm just used to it.

Just scored one!

I checked out some sites for the refill instructions and they look OK - a bit more complex than the ML-1710, but in a way, better. These have screws and a plate to remove rather than a plug.

Just the thing for my son's room at college.

In store flier even had the $15 off $75 right on it.

Remember, rebates not valid if you order online for instore pickup, only for actual purchases at store register.

Props to allisolm, original poster, fine deal.

Are you sure the rebates aren't valid for online orders?

I'm looking at both rebates, and neither say anything about instore purchases only.
