Is there any evidence of CPUs (particularly Athlon XPs) suffering shortened life spans or other problems from running at, say 50C continuously compared to 40C? I want to put together a new system, which won't be overclocked, and I don't want to mess with fancy cooling (especially if it's really loud) unless there is a compelling reason to.
