I really don't understand why opponents of the POTUS can't resist cute little deragatory misrepresentations of his name? Are you trying to entertain your fellow opponents? I wonder does the "Illegal immigrant" from Mexico who don't speak a word of english drag down our national score?

Does any other country in this galaxy have so much illegal immigrant's child in their classroom? Before anyone want to flame me, answer my question first.

I agree. The days of the kids beeing a necessary part of the family farm during harvest are, for the most part, long gone.

For a few years, our daughter was in "year-round" school. The year was broken into "trimesters" with two week vacations inbetween. She retained more of what she learned from the previous semester and her grades improved greatly.

i got to a college on the quarter system. it has its pluses and minuses. for some classes, it makes no difference. for other classes, i feel like they should go longer so things can be covered in more detail.

for gradeschool and high school, i suppose they don't have these problems since most classes are taught continuously, as opposed to college where classes change frequently.

overall, i'm relatively happy with my education

Yeah apparently it only takes like 3 years to get tenure in NYC... or atleast used to. They're trying to clean it up, but the teachers union is making it hard for them to do.

Wasn't the current school year setup based on farm crop cycles? We should probably have kids in school year round, if only we could find a way to pay for it.
