I was expecting to see a picture of indoor plumbing

I was expecting some time lapsed footage of some city with millions of people in it that I don't know the name of ("Its New Something Something, right?").

I agree with the OP. I find it sad that my country is abandoning its culture and becoming increasingly "americanised". I believe that that progress shouldn't come at the price of losing our culture and values.
Most public buildings in india today resemble the ones in the west. Tall buildings covered with glass. This should not be the case. I think india should take steps to preserve its architecture, traditional design etc

However not all hope is lost. They recently came up a new airport in Mumbai which reflects Indian architecture and culture in its design.

That's some fantastic architecture- and I bet they used Western technology in building it. Which just goes to show the OP that you can take the good from the West and build upon it to make it better. Or you can just try to blame us for your own problems.

I agree that blaming others for your problems is not a good thing, but then you also cannot deny that the West looted billions of dollars worth of gold and wealth from India.

It is a historical fact.

Did I blame the West? I don't think I have. If I did, that was not the intention. Anyway, the problem is with Indians trying to imitate and trying to be like somebody else. Not just them, its every human being on Earth that is this way. Unfortunate, but that is what is going on and has been going on.

When was the last time India produced a song/music of this caliber? They haven't in a while since they're too busy chasing America or who knows what.

Sorry but I don't find any of that unique. It can't be. It's created by people who are chasing a dream - money, success and whatever else. India itself is chasing an illusion - modernism and technology. But its the in thing right now. Maybe some other thing will be the in thing in the future.

That sounds nice, the music and the voice. Not complaining, but i wonder how it would sound in stereo and not so 0dB.

The funny thing-

When I visit India I see these shanty towns, like 50 "units" sharing 5 restrooms and a big open water pit. Those same 50 units, 25 of them have satellite dishes.

I always chuckled a little bit when we met with this Afghan Army Colonel and he had these "sexy time" videos playing on a TV in his office. His walls in his office were plastered with pics of him and US military females and him taking pics together. He had four wives back home away from base and liked a good drink or five from time to time.

Espousing things doesn't really make a difference, unfortunately. Family values are just there for superficial purposes nowadays anyway. Just something for show and has no real meaning. Sorry to say. I mean, look how people talk about peace in India yet there is no peace at all. Same goes for US, UK, and every other country. Preaching peace but actually doing the opposite. Hypocrisy at its finest.

As for the other comments being made, I'm not surprised. People are extremely prejudiced and tribal so they must mock other peoples for their perceived differences (though when you dig deeper, you realize there is hardly any difference beneath the surface. I need to dig deeper myself.)

Well, the UK just launched a billion plus dollar nuclear submarine. Why didn't they help their inner city youth find work? America spends countless billions of dollars on killing Arabs and other people around the world yet has so many homeless, hungry and impoverished people. Good use of money? But yes, picking on India is in fashion so carry on.
