i don't think this is so bad. as a history major i would like to own this. i actually own historical pieces based on the nazi third reich.

although the info given for the piece does make it seem like this guy selling it is a racist. a more tactful description and there would be no problem.

Yeah, that's the beauty of our First Amendment rights. However, this is a private forum, so we're not always entitled to use them in areas such as this. There is also DISCRETION - which you simply don't know how to use. You posted this thread like it was a trophy that you were proud of - and that's the sickening part.

OK, so maybe andrew was a little excited by the new addition to his collection, but if you're a serious collector with an eye for historically significant items, this may be quite a find. These are items that should not be destroyed - they should be kept as a reminder of how far society has come, and how far we have to go.

Still, the reserve wasn't met. He probably won't get it, AFAIK.

This is actually an interesting item. "Ten Little awesome people" was a common nursery rhyme in the 40's. It has been culturally softened to "Ten Little Indians". If any of you have ever read and Agatha Christie, she wrote a VERY good book that you can find today under the title "And Then There Were None". Not so long ago, the book was called "Ten Little Indians" before that it was called "Ten Little awesome people". Things like this are a good reminder of just how recently this country was extremely racist as a whole.
