Ive got a bushmaster myself. 14.5 inch barrel with a mini y-comp muzzle brake perm attached to = 16 inches. A2 upper, 6 pos collapsable stock. ive got a harris bipod for it and a nice scope (for 150 bucks) Shoots very nicely. What brand is yours (or at least your lower) Bushmaster, DPMS, Colt, Rock river arms, etc. etc. etc.

Or I suppose you could teach your kids the proper use of a gun and instill in them the respect that such a weapon deserves. I don't think that any decent parent would just keep a gun lying around for the kids to play with anyway, but in any case, letting them learn the safe use of a gun is better than keeping all guns away from them.

Who knows, your kid might be "that kid who got shot by his friend who was showing off daddy's pistol" just because he didn't have the experience to realize that his friend's lack of respect for the gun was dangerous.

AR15's are nice. My buddies and I were up on some gravel pits close to Bellingham with an SKS and a Glock 9. Some guys were shooting two of those and some assorted rifles and handguns they had in the back of their rig. I was in awe when they unloaded on some computer monitors we brought up there.

i own all of the above + more. My dads got a barrett .50. big fvckin deal. shut up. Plus i bet you cant tell me the country each of the above was designed/manufactored in can you? i can on mine. So you cant exactly brag when its your sister's boyfriend. I built my ak's by the way... (from kits with US compliant parts)

Nah, I predict many long, long years of guns in America's future. That's one right that too many Americans care about too much to be taken away. Stuff like privacy and free speech don't seem to be as important as owning an automatic rifle to some people. Frankly I find that appalling, but there's so little that can be done in apathetic america today. We're literally being stripped of our rights one by one and there aren't enough people to stand up and do something about it.
