Lookin for funny comedians

Lewis Black, Dane Cook, George Carlin, Chris Rock, Dave Chapelle, Mitch Hedberg, Dennis Miller.

Any other recommendations?

Daniel Tosh, Robin Williams, Demetri Martin, The Kings (Bernie Mac, Cedric the Entertainer, DL Hughley, Steve Harvey), Ron White, Patton Oswalt, Brian Posehn, Sarah Silverman... Eddie Izzard is a lot of fun if you like crazy rambling comedy. You seem to like angry people who complain about things (Carlin, Black, Rock, Miller), but I'm having a hell of a time thinking of any good caustic comedians, which is odd for me...

If you're willing to go older, Bill Cosby, Eddie Murphy, Rodney Dangerfield, Bill Hicks and Richard Pryor were hilarious.

Dane Cook isn't funny. I'm not going to apologize for this; he's just not funny.

i think dane is very funny


The kings IMO are about as funny as a tree stump, i rather listen to the sounds of livestock being slaughtered, also Sarah Silverman is not funny at all

Dangerfield is awesome, forgot about him. Lewis Black is probably my favorite though, his angry rants are the best out there in my opinion.

Greg Fitzsimmons, Greg Giraldo, Lisa Lampanelli, Jake Johannsen, Nick DiPaolo - these folks are all at least 1000 times funnier than Dane Cook.

The Kings are definitely something you have to be in the right mood for. Steve and DL are average at best; they'll occasionally say something funny, but for the most part, it's meh. Bernie Mac just hollers and swears, and is virtually unintelligible, but as the OP has included lots of "ranters" on his list, it seems a decent fit. Cedric the Entertainer is hilarious, or at least his set on "Original Kings of Comedy" was. Nothing I've seen by him since has been near as good.

I checked out the latin kings of comedy... now that was not funny. That was so culture specific that if you did not grow up in a barrio near the border in Texas or California, you wouldn't get a single joke. Half the show was in Spanish, which I can speak un poco, pero no mucho, and certainly not enough to understand what the hell was so damn funny. Why is George Lopez famous?

im glad to see my fave comedian listed here more than once. eddie izzard is funny. i like the rambling crap he spouts. cook is not funny, neither is silverman. ron white is another i like. lewis black cracks me up too.

Eddie is IMO one of the most underrated comedians out there, more people need to know of his greatness

I can't believe people find Dane Cook funny, he's just brutal, though you can tell he thinks he's god's gift.

He used to be funny...IMO his first CD, and his second one are pretty good. You just have to forget that he became a sold-out hack.
