What do you guys think about this one? Thinking about leasing a 2014 model soon. I want the C-Class 2015 but I think they are gonna start off too high since its new.

Q50 is bigger, heavier, went numb in the steering and nothing new in the powerplant dept was introduced. (In comparison to the G37 it replaces).
On top of that, it lost refinement. I don't think it's bad as the car rags make it out to be, but it's something to consider.

Get a q50s with the hydraulic steering and non run flats. I think it should be plenty decent a car.

If you really want a C-class, you should get a C-class, IMO. You are spending a lot of money anyways, might as well spend a little more and get what you want.

i agree with this. that is a sharp looking car!

My buddy has the IS250 and it was what I was originally looking at but after driving his car, the inside felt really cramped. Coming from a 2011 Civic coupe it felt it had the same interior size.

I'll definitely be taking my time and test driving them all though. I'd love the 2015 C Class but I'm not sure if I can get away with 0 down and ~350-400 a month with it. I know I can pull that off with the Infiniti dealers (or Lexus) around here.

It all depends on residuals. I have no idea how Infiniti and MB residuals compare.

The Q50 has the same engine as the G37 which is FANTASTIC. It's my favorite overall engine. It's naturally aspirated, 330 HP, V6 without any help or lag from turbos or superchargers.

I've driven/owned the previous Nissan V6 derivatives since the 1990 and love the late 1996-2003 3.0 L versions. I'm still driving an 2001 I30 which has the 3 liter version @ 227 HP. I've driven the G35, G37, IS350, 2013 C Class. Many of which have more power, others need help. After driving, I always come back to my grandma car and feel it's got more than enough power that I need.

With the Q50 you're getting 100 HP more. Powerplant aside, the Q50 is a 1st year model car with all of the warning that go along with it. That itself should be your biggest concern. I myself would take an Infiniti dealer through the ringer and try to get a middle appointed G37 in the <$30K range.

When I was looking at them recently I read there was a lot of issues with the infotainment stuff on it that they seemed unconcerned about fixing. That and its not really in the same league fit and finish wise as the C class you mention or the is350 for that matter. If I were to get an infiniti it would be the older g37 just because you can get it at a price that makes sense for what it is. Q50 is really meh for the price.

Getting my feet wet tomorrow. Gonna go test drive the 3-Series and the 4-Series Gran Coupe. It grew on me lol. Plus looking at the true purchase prices of the 3 series, people are getting ~$47 msrp vehicles for about ~$40.

Test drove the 3/4 series today and the 2015 C300 and the CLA 45 AMG.

To be honest I was really underwhelmed with the C300. I thought that it looked amazing until I sat in it. It was pretty meh. The drive was okay. It picks up quick but it's nothing exciting. Also the screen control on it was really laggy. Kinda disappointed in that.

CLA 45 AMG drove for fun. It's a beast but out of my range at $58k lol.

I actually really liked the 4 series Gran Coupe but pricing wise, since it's so new (4 door is new for 2015) they aren't budging too much on the price.

However, the guy gave me an option I didn't even think about before. I can lease one of their 2014 loaner cars with full warranty at a really discounted price.

I didn't really haggle the price just yet but he threw this one out at $38k

What do you guys think about that route? I'm leasing it anyways so I'm not too worried about it having a few thousand miles. Money factor at .00129 and residual at 60%. 3 series innovation credit at $2000 and a graduate incentive at $1000.

Another dealer offered me an online quote of a new 2014 3 series model

MSRP $47,275
BMW invoice $44,085
Selling Price $41,085

off the bat. I'm probably gonna go take a look at that tomorrow. Sport, tech, moonroof, lighting package.

That sounds ok, assuming the credits apply to the 38k making it more like 35k? Otherwise not sure I'd bother with the used route. Money factor is ok at 3.09%.

Not sure what your looking for exactly in this segment, but did you look at the 2 series, or is that too small ?

Credits will apply to the 38k but I will definitely deal lower than that. 38k was the number he threw at me before negotiation and he kind of threw me a bone where he said they were trying to get rid of these cars ASAP to move room for all 2015s.

The 2 series are coupes only. My last 3 cars were coupes. I want a sedan now lol. Also that's why I love the 4 Series Gran Coupe. That coupe feeling with 4 doors. Too bad I can't seem to get the same type of deal as I can with the 2014 3 series.

I'd get the C350 Coupe. I test drove one of the latest models and really liked it. I put too many miles on a car to drive something like that every day though.

Yah, the w205 c300 is definitely going back to luxury roots. Don't know if the c400 would fix your issues with it, but it has a ton more HP. If you're looking at used cars you might be able to pick up a used c63.... Say you don't like the body style, but the amg models look a bit different.

So far best offer I have now is 750 below invoice price on a 4 series putting it at $540 a month after tax, 0 down, before incentives. I emailed this to all of the other dealers I'm talking with so lets see what they can do.
