Looking for a deal on a desktop to plug in a 5970

My desktop is kaput and I'm not really interested in fixing it. I bought it used and it's been kind of flaky for the past year or so anyway.

Has anyone seen any good deals on sites, or outlets, or ebay? It just has to have a PSU capable of handling a 5970 and I'd really like Windows 7 instead of 8. Other than that I don't really care.

I don't game that much anymore, so ultra high settings aren't that important to me.

Thanks

I'd suggest building your own system if you really want to use that graphics card. Most pre-built systems use the minimum power necessary to run the system as-is. Any pre-built system you get with a power supply like that is going to come with a better video card anyway.

How old is your current computer? (specifically, the PSU)

You can buy a dell and then put in a PSU.

I was hoping to buy pre-built because I want windows 7 included. I don't have a spare copy. I understand it might be my only option though.

I had a dell once, and the PSU was for all practical purposes not replaceable. It was encased in plastic that had to be cracked open.

Do you think the PSU in something like this is replaceable?

With an outlet coupon I could probably get the price around $500 or so. I don't want to spend a lot.

I've been casually looking around and it's almost impossible to find anything that fits what I need. If I want to keep the 5970 I guess I'll have to build.

If I'm going to build I'm doing quadfire . What the hell?

If you build yourself, do you need a windows license? If so just purchase win 7. Since you don't game much, maybe you should think about replacing that gpu. It is pretty power hungry.
