Abit Siluro is one of the best Ti4400s, with a quiet fan, ramsinks, and good 2d quality (from reviews). I've heard two 256 meg dimms oc better than one 512.

Looks good. If you are going to be overclocking you might want to make sure you get the true samsung chips with the samsung pcb.
I have the BD7II-Raid with a 1.6@2400+. DDR 412 with 512 mb XMS-3200

Thanks and yeah I was going to get the Samsung from Newegg which from what I have heard everywhere is true Samsung. My only concern now is that the BD7-II only supports up to 4 ata devices. I did find the Abit IT7 which supports 8 devices, but I have heard some problems with overclocking. I was trying to find one in both Rambus and DDR to compare the prices. Are there any boards that support more than 4 or is there someway around this?

I have a P4 1.6a (pack date 15/5) with an Asus P4S533 (what sold me on that motherboard is the lack of P4B266-c at my local store) with a 512megs of samsung PC 2700. I am currently in the process of overclocking the beast.... The only bad thing on that motherboard so far is the lack of PCI/AGP lock. Everything was fine a 2.6ghz, but I got corrupted files.... I backed it down to 2.51 ghz and everything seems to be fine (running Prime95 to be sure....). If it's stable, I'll try again at a higher FSB and when I'll have maxed my possibilities, I'll tweak the RAM. I'm at 1.632vcore and 51c under load (United devices and Prime95 running at the same time...) with the stock Intel HSF and AS3.
For the first computer I build myself, I can say I'm very happy with it. Another sweet thing about this mobo is the C-Media sound... it sounds better than my SB 512PCI (I sold that already), it has integrated LAN (I'll put it in another box....) and the manual is very good except one thing: they don't mention to plug only 2 of the 3 power connectors, if you ppplug the 3 in, you are very likely to fry your board (some people here have experienced that issue) so be careful if you buy it...
