I am looking for a gaming laptop to replace my current ageing desktop computer. I doube I will be lugging it around much or be using it without the power cable plugged in. However it would be nice if I could watch a full movie on it without a change of batteries, plus that it can be lugged around when need be.
Ideally I would want a 15" monitor or less, as I am planning on getting a separate monitor hooked up it to for everyday use. Same thing with one of those portable HD usb bays.
My problem is then that every gaming laptop that I can find come with a humongous large monitor, 17" or more. Heck I even saw a 20" laptop monitor today, and very little info on how much they weight and battery life.
The only viable laptop I have come across is Dells XPS offering, and to that price I can't help but think their are better alternatives out there that I dont know about. I am not a big upgrader, my own desktop before the CPU died on me, had a athlon 1800+ processor and that is some years ago that went out of production.
So I ask you, what gaming/desktop replacement laptop can you recommend? As you guess from me mentioning the XPS model, I am not going for the cheapest model available, I am too lazy to do a conversion into US dollar, but you probably know the price range of the xps.
Thanks.
