The only thing I dislike about my P180 is the weight, but that may not be a problem for you, other than that it's a great case..

Some others to have a look at would be the Thermaltake Soprano and Shark (though that one has a window of sorts, but not like your regular window, I like it), also the Lian-Li PC-101 and PC V1100, PC-S80B (if you've got a lot of money to spend on a case), Coolermaster Mystique 631 and Wave Master.

Hopefully there's something there that'l fit your needs.

I've not seen anyone talk about my case anywhere, though the two reviews on newegg are both over the top happy. Thermaltake Matrix - all aluminum, solid or window side case available, 2usb, 1FW, 1mic, 1speaker on front - 4 5.25, 2 3.5 external, 4 3.5 internal and everything is tooless. It's an incredibly light aluminum build but still more than sturdy enough. Two 120mm fans (one front, one rear included). I really like it muchly!

to all those that posted up Lian Li cases; i know they make great cases, but i cant justify spending $230 on a case. $140 is probably going to be my absolute max for spending.

P180: who actually has this case? ive read reviews on it and no one really talks about the weight that much. how much does this thing actually weigh after you put all your components in? and has anyone had any problems with cable length from the PS being at the bottom?

Mine weighs about 52 pounds with everything in it. Then again, I have a passive PSU, which is heavier than a fanned PSU, a Smartdrive 2002, and a Zalman VGA cooler; all of which are significantly heavy by themselves.

As to the cable length, it wasn't a problem routing it "normally" but I needed an extender to run the P4 cable under the motherboard for purposes of having exceedingly neat cabling.

I should also mention the CoolerMaster Mystique 631 or 632 black. The 631 door can be hinged from either side and the Enermax Chakras or Phoenix (same case, diff. bezel treatments but I don't think any have doors - so nevermind).

Check out the Aerocool Coolview too.

YES!!! this case is beautiful, if I hadn't just gotten a new cause like a week before I saw this puppy on Newgg I'd own it right now.

Now that I think about it, I might build a 2 PC just so I can use this case! Looks are a taste thing, but I think the case is beautiful. It gets great reviews too, which is a big plus.

i just wished they made the mystique in a blue/black combo. i really hate silver cases and i dont like that amber thing in the middle on the black one

You know i am a previous P-180 owner, and there is no room to do cable management. My temps ran in the 45's thats on idle. I had VERY strong fans it in as well. My new Yeong Yang server case is a better case.

OP,
. In the middle of the door of the black Mystique 632 is an orange panel - I see the plastic itself is colored. Contact CoolerMaster to see if you can get a blue one for your black case

Or check the Kingwin 523. These aren't all aluminum like the Mystiques, just the front panel. Then again they are half the price and you can get blue or red CCFL light standard.

. All the cases mentioned in my last two posts are based on the CM Centurion chassis (first place I noticed this design anyway) including the Kingwin. This chassis design can have all my Casitude points except rubber isolators for the HDDs.

- 120mm fan mounts f/r
- normally oriented HDD cage - maybe sidesaddle if attention was paid to cooling
- Indirect venting of front panel to limit direct noise
- Good toolless features for ease of build-out
- rubber isolated HDDs
- Doesn't look like a steaming pile or a rice rocket
- Not too tight on the interior

I guess the 6A case is the budget standard - includes the Antek 3000-B, compucase/HEC 6A19, Rosewill R6A* seriez and the Tt Tsunami (though the Al makes it a bit noisier than the steel ones).

thanks Zepper , my case of choice (PC-A10 from Lian Li) meets all of these, aside from the HDD mounting perhaps, and not really being a value case. I appreciate the input on features that make up a good case.
