Neither I nor anyone I have talked to has had any problems with the Folding@Home client. According to this article it does not adversely affect performance. FWIW, if you're interested, you can check out some links to get started in Folding@Home for Team AnandTech (ID 198) here.Originally posted by: Jagators
The title says it all..
When I was running SETI@Home I didn't have any problems with it either. However, it did have problems with Outlook 2k (and may still have), so if you're planning to deploy it on a corporate network, you should probably consider testing it on a few noncritical machines first (for that matter, you should test any DC project you decide to run on a machine that isn't critical to the network before widespread deployment). Of course, if you're an IT person, you probably already know this.Originally posted by: LyNx01
I've never encountered any problems with the SETI CLI client. They all have ran smoothly for me in Win2k, WinXP, WinME, Win98SE as I have installed it on all of those operating systems
