Looking for a software fan controller

So I was thinking about making a new computer case (so I can have separate water loops). I don't like knobs on my fan controllers. So I was looking at software USB fan controllers.

I found a few that looked promising and was wondering if anyone had any experience with them.

There's the mCubed T-Balancer which looks nice but seems to be impossible to buy and it isn't cheap. (plus it can only control 4 fans)

There's the Sunbeam Theta which is cheaper and has plugs for 8 fans.

And that's all I could find. Anyone have any other suggestions or experience with these two?

mCubed at Perf. PCs. Like you you said though, expensive.

I see what you mean. Missing pots so the fan's only work at either 100% or 0. Good to know. Looks like I'll have to go with the mCubed offering then, even though its $100. Or I could just get used to some knobs....

Missing pots don't necessarily mean anything - could have been replaced with fixed resistors once it was figured out what was needed. Can't control a pot with software anyway unless it is motorized (expensive)... My Aerogate 3 has no pots yet the fan speeds can be controlled.

The T-Balancer is probably the ultimate in auto-fan control. You can add-on to the main unit.....a MiniNG will plug right in, adding two more independently controllable fan channels. By the time you buy all the options available, you've got an expensive setup....but the best.

The Theta apparently still uses the same software as the original edition.....buggy. I've never read a good review of the thing.

My VL Systems LIS2 is still going strong after all these years.....four fan channels on auto-control, with no knobs, and no sensors (uses the MB sensors). Hard/impossible to find any longer however.....:brokenheart:
