Looking for advice for sites/exchanges to invest in crypto

I am looking to invest a few thousand into various crypto and am looking for recommended sites/exchanges actually used by you, my fellow members. My goal is to buy and let my portfolio sit for years. I will not be an active crypto trader.

Please recommend any sites that you would recommend (or that you actually use), and any experiences (both positive/negative) with them.

Every crypto "currency" is way off their peaks. Prices are super volatile. Unless you are watching prices all day and buying/selling the daily dips/spikes, I think you should hold onto your money for now. IMHO, if you definitely intend to "invest" in crypto you should wait for them to crash. Then buy however much and be prepared to wait 2 to 3 years for the next boom.

I see three possibilities here listed in order of likelihood as follows:
