I am looking for a used four door $14000 or less, my basic criteria is four door, automatic, sport/luxury and a v6.

The cars I have looked at so far are 1996 Acura 3.2 TL and that was a nice car but they wouldn't go for $10k otd, I have also looked at a 1998 Audi A4 with 2.8 V6 and that was a sweet car but the dealer wanted $15500 otd and that's more than I wanted to spend. I am going to look at this 2000 Jetta from my understanding it's very close to a Audi A4 w/o the all wheel drive.

Other cars I have looked at are Nissan Maximas and Pontiac Grand Prixs any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Tom

Thought about a Buick? I got a LeSabre two years ago with full leather seats and all the options. Pretty sweet ride.

Or maybe a used Caddy? Both are like rolling down the highway in a lazyboy.

I would like an automatic but I did make an offer an a A4 with a 5 spd.

Buicks are nice but I don't think that they are sporty enough.

That 1997 465GT Estate is a bit differnt.

I did look at the GTP's but I can't find one in my area for the right price/milage.

First off, if you want a used VW, definitely look at Passats before Jettas. Since you want 4 doors, you probably need some room in the back and the Jetta is pretty tight, plus Passats are historically more reliable than Jettas.

A Maxima is not a bad choice, of course. Some other sporty luxury cars that might be in your range: '99-00 Saab 9-5, Infiniti I30, or Volvo S70. Chrysler 300M, '01 if possible. '00 Lincoln LS (watch out for mechanical issues on that one).

Passats are pretty nice and you can shop around and find a good used one, i was really happy with my jetta though.

You could easily get a 98-99 I30T in your budget as well as a Maxima. both are great & dependable cars.

Other options would be Acura TL (as you already stated) and possible an ES300 (but it may not be sport enough for you).

Sadly wiht that price budget, many of the German maqrues are out of the budget.

Also how about the Lincoln LS? That MIGHT fit into the budget.
