HardOCP also compared i9xx DDR2 vs. i865/875 and DDR. As with AT the DDR2 results were underwhelming.
intel is really not delivering this year -- Prescott is a space-heater turtle at stock speeds, DDR2 is double the cost for zero performance gain, and the single PCI-E x16 offers no speed gain over AGP with current single cards (and doesn't support x16 nVidiia SLI either).
Sure it might all scale up nicely
next year, but right now it's like buying a P1 60MHz vs. 486-66 or P4 1.4 GHz vs. Tualatin P3. Pay more, get less.
