Looking for games

I recently played broken sword I & II and really like the old point and click style of game. Can anyone reccomend other games like it?
(I tried broken sword 3 but wasn't so keen on it)

the Gabriel Knight games! the 1st one was Sins of the Father. I played that game so many times, I loved the story. Had a lot to do with voodoo. They also came out with 2 more versions. the 2nd was about werewolves and was sort of live action.
never played the 3rd one. they used 3d animation in this one and i don't know what the story was.

i should probably look for it and play it.

Betrayal at Krondor is probably my favorite old school computer RPG. I played that one a lot too.

pretty much all the old Sierra/Dynamix games from the early 90s were good.

All the old LucasArts games were excellent. Indiana Jones, Full Throttle, Sam & Max, etc.

i've played full throttle before it was gr8 i have indians jones somewhere but it would never run properly even on my old win3.1 pc. Thanks for the link Frodolives.

I found this game http://www.samorost2.net/samorost1/ it's short but quite good fun.

Beneath a Steel Sky is freeware, IIRC. A newer game in that genre is Syberia 1 and 2. YGPM.

Grim would be great if I could figure out how to get the damn thing to work on my PC. It randomly reboots due to some graphical error.

I also have Full Throttle but when I try to install it I can't get past the sound card section. You would think that my current day soundcard could produce the same sound level as any ancient sound card but the software is ridiculously picky. Anyone have any ideas?

If you haven't played Monkey Island then play those through at least #2.

If you haven't played Monkey Island then play those through at least #2.

For Full Throttle, check out Scumm VM. It replaces the front-end with an executable compatible with XP, as long as you provide the game data files.
