Looking for Gaming Mouse/Keyboard

So, I'm about to net roughly 900 dollars (yay spare PC with old parts!), and on my shopping list is a new keyboard and mouse. Basically, I've owned the logitech mx bluetooth series mouse and keyboard, and although I like the shape of the mouse, the bluetooth has given me way, way too many headaches.

So, AT, could you help me find a new gaming keyboard/mouse. The only parameters I have are that:

A.) I don't want to spend over 150$ for the pair. If the price range is close, I might consider going over.

B.) I have rather small hands, and I grip the mouse with my fingertips only. I don't touch the mouse at all with my palm. I need a mouse that's fingertip-grip friendly.

C.) The mouse has to have at LEAST 2 side buttons, and preferably 3-4.

Any replies would be awesome!

Razer Diamondback 3g.

$40, good for claw, 4 side buttons I believe.

As for keyboard, well I am using a $15 Logitech keyboard and am perfectly satisfied with it, not sure what you are looking for in a "gaming" keyboard.

I'm very happy with my sidewinder x8 mouse, if you're looking for something that is wireless but rechargeable while in use, it's a perfect solution. For a keyboard, I use a DiNovo Edge because it doubles as my media controller. Personally, I'm always usually happy with anything in the $20 range that's decent, which usually means made by logitech.

So, I think I've decided on my mouse; the razer copperhead.

but for the keyboard, I'm waffling between the Saitek Eclipse 3 and the Microsoft Sidewinder.

Anyone have experience with either?

Copperhead was my first "gaming mouse" nearly four years ago. It's still going strong in my brother's use as well, so it seems like a sturdy piece of equipment. It's definitely fingertip-controlled, and the Synapse feature allows for instant on the fly sensitivity change (I was disappointed when I changed to a Deathadder, which had a freeze in mouse movement when changing sensitivity) which is simply awesome if you play FPS games. I'm not exaggerating when I say that when I upgraded from a Logitech MX1000 to the Copperhead, my Battlefield 2 kill/death ratio as infantry went from roughly 0.8 to 2 over the course of just two weeks.

Probably the only real gripe I had with the Copperhead (aside from being slightly uncomfortable after long periods - the fingertip grip isn't my favorite) is that the side buttons where somewhat hard to press due to the shape of the mouse and the way you grip it.

As for Saitek Eclipse, can't really say as I've only used the first one, but at least that was a nice product overall. Ended up selling it to my brother (equipment dumping to relatives for the win) when I got a Logitech G15, but in retrospect the Saitek was probably the better keyboard.

I own the Sidewinder keyboard (owned it for 5 months now) and I can say this is a pretty nice keyboard. The only thing I can complain so far is the sheer amount of macro keys (I am not even beginning to bind half of them). If you use macros in games or programs, this is a nice keyboard. Illumination is pretty good too, and the couple media keys on top are functioning well.

I can't tell if it's going to be durable, I am not very hard on my keyboards usually (not typing that much either) but the feeling is somewhat between mechanical IBM-like and laptop (basically like most of Logitech keyboards for example).

Finally, the MSoft software is not too shabby, letting you configure most of your keys the way you like. For some reason though, the software wasn't loading properly at start until I actually put the .exe in the Startup folder. Not sure why, but anyway
