Looking for new wireless mouse to replace Performance MX

It seems my Performance MX is dying (the plastic reflector is strangely scratched and the left click is getting horrible, almost impossible to click and drag) so I'm looking for a newer mouse.

Obviously, the Master MX comes to mind. I want the precision in my mouse mostly for games but also light photo editing. That's why I like so high end mice.

Also, I want a mouse pad even though these mice don't need it; Im not sure if the scratch is because of that (I doubt it) but...For a mouse pad, Ill problably get a old one and be done as I don't see it worthy buying a mouse pad in 2015.

So what wireless mouse do you recommend?

I'd recommend the Logitech Wireless Marathon Mouse M705 which is very fast and does not consume a lot of energy, even though the Master MX mouse is a great option too.

If you end up getting the Master MX, I'd be prepared for the left-click (and/or right-click) to end up slowly failing like it has on your Performance MX. Unless there's evidence that Logitech finally started using a more reliable switch for them.

I've had multiple MX1000s, MX Revolutions, and now Performance MXs and they've all eventually had their switches fail. I only keep going with Logitech because replacing a switch takes 30 cents for a new switch and about 10 minutes of time.

They're quality mice otherwise.

Ive had the MX1000, Revolution and Performance....None of their clicks have ever died. It was always a battery and/or wireless fault.

None of mine ever flat-out died either. They just started registering every click as a double-click. I suppose I should've been clearer on that earlier.

I'm guessing I used/clicked my mice way more often than you. It's not a new issue, you can find tons of threads on this problem on the Logitech site alone.

If you want a precision mouse you want it to be wired, and have the Avago 3090 or the Adilent 3310 sensor. I get that you want it to be a large mouse since you're coming from the Performance MX, then you should be looking at the new Zowie EC1-A or the SteelSeries Rival. You could be fine with the EC1-A but I don't dig its hard rubber coating. The Rival is also cheaper now so I'd just pick one up and be done with it as I own pretty much all mice with the mentioned sensors, from the older EC1 to the Func MS-2 and the biggest and the best performing out of all is IMHO the Rival.

which is why i dont use wireless mice or keyboards to begin with. Wires will always be more reliable, and faster.
You must have had lousy wireless mice then.

I believe I have owned almost all of Logitech's high end wireless mice and not ONE has let me down because it wasn't fast or precise enough for my gaming and/or design needs.

Im pretty decided on the mouse but a good mousepad? I don't think I need a wrist rest because Ive been doing OK without one and adding one now might actually hurt me more. The thing that actually worries me about a wrist rest is the limited room I have for my house on the pullout tray where my keyboard/mouse is. That aside, what pads are good at making the mice's life a bit more longer?

Profanity isn't allowed in tech. This is your 5th infraction for the same offense.

I like the steelseries mouse pads myself but the coating will wear off with time.
Finally a mousepad I can order!

Ive just had trouble finding "x recommended mousepad" and buying it online. Strange.

This one I THINK I can order it online. A bit too expensive for my taste more so if you say the coating will wear off with time...
