Okay, I work for a computer shop here in Machesney Park Illinois and I've been unfortunate enough to purchase the Apevia X-Q Pack 2 case for a customers media rig. Less than 2 months after the build, the machine comes back with a fried mobo. I realized there was a serious issue with the X-Q Pack case when I went to plug in and turn the machine on and right before actually touching the power button I felt that familiar shock at the face plate which caused the machine to turn on then back off.
What I'm looking to do is get a class action lawsuit going against Apevia for thier piss poor design which has been leading to system deaths all over. The class action part comes in as to the best of my knowledge with the people I've talked to so far, Apevia seems to be dicking arround the people who've tried to get compensation for the death of thier system which is the fault of Apevia's X-Qpack 2.
If anyone here has dealt with this issue or knows someone that has please PM me. One of our best customers here at the shop runs a local law office and he's agreed to help us get this ball rolling against Apevia.
To reach Class Action level we need to find enough people who've dealt with this specefic problem that have lost a collective total of $5,000,000 . So please PM me with the dollar ammount of your loss related to the ESD issue on the Apevia X-Qpack 2 and I'll post the ammount we're up to in the thread from time to time.
If you've been inconvenienced by Apeivia's poor case design then this is your chance to stick it to the man.
I'm steaming atm after just getting off the phone with Apevia ( via disconnect on thier end ) where I got nowhere except dicked arround for 30 mins. I'll be updating/adding to this over the next few days with more information.
