looking for small as possible motherboard

Hi,

Im planning to build a car mp3/dvd comp, and i wanna make it as small as possible.
So im looking for an as small as possible motherbotherboard, with preferably onboard sound and vid out.

If anyone came a cross some small mobo's on the net can you post me a link.

I couldnt find anything in the search of this forum.

Shuttle's FV-24 is also pretty small.
To get any smaller you should look for industrial computer platforms.
Try looking for PC-104 based motherboards or look at
boards like the Advantech PCI-6771, they also boast many other
single board computers.

Saintsong makes super small PCs that use 2.5" hard drives. The Espresso and Capuccino PCs are full featured, super small PCs that seem like they would be ideal for this sort of application. They do have a US distributor or two linked off of their site somewhere.

Other than the the Via mini-itx platform is the next smallest thing I think you'll be able to find. After that, go for the PC Chips motherboard with the embedded Via CPU. I believe it's a FlexATX sized mobo.

i think i'll go for the VIA EPIA Mini-ITX Mainboard its small 170mmx170mm and its cheap $109,-(im a student so thats important)
It got everything i need, although im worried bout the quality of the onboard auido and vid out.
I always can put a risercard in it so i get 2 pcislots instead of 1, but i hope the onboard features are good enough so i dont have to.(that keeps it nice and small)
