Looking for some good memory for new board

I just purchased a new board and cpu now I am poor, but anyway I would like some help in purchasing some decent memory for it. I bought an Asus A8N-SLI nForce 4 board with a Athalon 64 4000+, I am probably not looking to overclock the board at first considering the huge speed increase I am gonna see fom my current board, in the future I would very much like to mess with overclocking it. I have been looking at some patriot memory with a CAS 2-3-2-5-1 it's pc3200. Any ideas on this or any other memory that would be better for this application, I would like something that overclocks very well for future use and something not outrageously expensive considering I just blew a ton of money on the board an processor and I'm still in need of some video cards too ughhhhh.

If you want to skimp a bit on memory getting some valueram wouldn't be bad. Corsair and Kingston you can get good deals on 512X2 mb. I bought 1gb of kingston value stuff and its pretty good. I have it at 3-3-3-8, not the best, but I have heard the corsair tolerates cas 2.5 and stuff at stock speeds. pdp is supposed to make good memory. If you have enough money, I'd recommend 512x2 corsair twinx.

Yeah I looked at the corsair but I think maybe something a little higher end.

corsair twinx or value? I'm not sure exactly which model of twinx, but it's some hot sht. If you mean higher end, the ocz el platinum rev2 ran at 318 on the dfi nforce4 board in the anandtech review. atacom.com has a great selection of memory if not, the best prices. so check it out I think they show all the timings they run at stock.

Look for some PC3200 Kingston HyperX (KHX3200AK2 / 512) its not that expensive and it offers some pritty good timmings.

An NF4 SLI and 4000+ will set you back a pretty penny, but you shouldn't put bad memory in there, or else all that money will be put to waist. My No1 choise for mem in a system like that would be Crucial Ballistix PC3200, which is still pretty decently priced.

I looked at the value, the TwinX is nice but I don't see much of a diference between that and the Patriot I was looking at, same CAS but more price for the TwinX, plus good ratings on the Patriot.

Wow that's pretty nice memory but probably about $300 from what I can see, I will think about it I don't want some junk memory in my machine.
