The fact that they don't mention the price anywhere on their site ought to give you a rough idea about the price range we are talking here.

went to the site...wow...the entry level notebook is 3 g's...lol...

Voodoopc: http://voodoopc.com/

They got sick laptops with centrino processors=better battery life. They have good video and practically everything. Expensive but like you said if money is no object then get these machines.

IBM: http://www.pc.ibm.com/us/thinkpad/tseries_byo.html

Also Have good battery life, infact I just bought one! Wasn't the highest end but it's pretty damn good! Thinkpad T series is the one you want, configure it to the max and you'll have a dream machine. But agian the voodoopc might be a better option because of graphics!

Alienware: http://www.alienware.com

Agian like VoodooPC but if battery life is not a problem then get these!

Have fun!

I would go for a well-configured member of the IBM T-series . (I believe their current model is T42). The large corporation that I work for has standardized on these. They are reliable, stable, built for corporate use and well-supported. Typing this msg at work on my trustworthy 4 year old T20. Hopefully I can retire it soon and get a sexier new model. I have been configuring and servicing other peoples T30's and they are significantly better than my own laptop. Haven't personally used a T40 - but judging on the other members of the T family they are bound to be nice machines.
