Hi folks,
I am looking for the BEST LAPTOP on todays market. Don't really care how much it costs.

Here is what I want in order:
STABILITY - since all the specs are on the high end the system HAS TO BE STABLE no overheating
POWER (bigger is better, looking for biggest CPU with at least 1GB RAM)
GRAPHICS (high quality, big screen with a solid graphic card that doesnt overheat the system)
STORAGE (100GB minimum, plus DVD burner)
PORTABILITY (I am looking for DeskTop power in LapTop package)
WIRELESS CONNECTIVITY - not entirely necessary
TECH SUPPORT THAT SPEAKS ENGLISH (no Dell, pfffft)

Here is what I dont want:
NO Apple - Mac people please put it back in your pants, I want a computer with more than 3% marketshare.
NO DELL - again, I want Tech Support that speaks English

Thank you all in advance~

It seems that you know what you want, you should go to AMD or Intel's website. They both have links for Where to Buy. Search those sites for the specs that you want. They should have configurators that you can get pretty much get whatever you want on your new machine.

see here

HP also uses outsourced tech support from my experience. You may want to keep that in mind (I have an HP but I have no trouble understanding them)

IBM all the way. Top of the line build quality. TOP of the line support. Mostly top of the line features. Might be worth waiting for the successor to T42p.

Knock yourself out.

Looks like they copied the web site design right from Apple. Their 15.4" laptops also look similar to the PowerBook as well.

They are definitely going for the "Mac" look, but their computers are faster and better, IMO. However, you will pay the price.

Faster? Yes. Better? No. More expensive? Yes.

IBM and Toshiba make the best laptops IMO.

Get the fastest Centrino you can find, along with 2GB of RAM, 100+GB HD, Mobility Radeon 9800. The form factor and screen size depends on what you're looking for in a laptop.

If you are set on x86 than this is probably of no interest to you; but if you want pure, raw, terrifying, absolutely unmitigated power in a laptop you probably want something from Tadpole Computer. Their current top of the line laptop could curb-stomp what most people think of as servers. To whit, dual ultraspark IIIis, up to 16gb of ram, a 17.1 inch screen, two 2.5 inch hard drives, dual GbE ports, etc.Check out the datasheet. The fact that they don't mention the price anywhere on their site ought to give you a rough idea about the price range we are talking here.

I'm sorry... can you get a Mac laptop with 2 hard drives? How about a RAM drive? Yeah... I didn't think so...
