Looking to encase my case...

My case currently resides off to one side under my desk, but it takes up a little too much room and I'm always knocking my knees against it. The desk has a cupboard that seems to have been designed with a computer in mind, only it's totally enclosed except for a small hole in the side for cords. So what I want to do is cut a hole in the door and install a pair of ~92mm fans blowing in, and a hole in the back for exhaust, with or without fans.

What I want to know is, does anyone know of a source for fans with grilles on both sides, not more than an inch thick, powered either by 12V DC (I could rig a long extension out from the power supply) or 110V AC? Also, I want to put an air filter in front, preferably washable. So I'll need a rectangular filter about 184x92mm. Any ideas?

The setup I'll be installing should be as follows: Athlon XP 1800+ on a Gigabyte GA-7VRXP, 256MB DDR333 in an Antec PLUS860 case. I'll be using for the meantime my old ATi AIW 128, two old ATA33 5400RPM Seagate HDDs, DVD and CD-RW (as you can see, I'm upgrading kind of one step at a time). I have no intention, now or later, of overclocking. Should I bother with the front intake fans on the case, with the big fans blowing from the door of the cupboard directly at the front vent of the case?

Does anyone have experience with this kind of setup? I'm hoping, besides getting my PC out of the way, that keeping it enclosed like this will cut down a lot on the noise, even with two big fans on the outside. Is this realistic? By the way, the room I'm setting this up in is not air-conditioned; ambient temperatures may reach 90F in the summer. How bad is this?

I appreciate any input on this; I really don't want to go to the trouble if I'm going to fry my CPU.

A correction to my post: if I have an air filter in front of the fans in the door, I don't need a grill on both sides, just the back for when the door is open.
