Looking to get a new monitor

Hey I'm looking to get a new monitor and need a little help.

I need to buy it from Dell because I have a credit and coupon.

I'm looking for a 27" for gaming. preferably with a thin bezel. Is 144Hz important? I saw one for around $600 but it was 60Hz.

What video card do you have? if you plan are gaming on 2560x1440p@144Hz then you will need a powerful videocard to maintain framerates.

2. What resolution do you want but for 27 inch I would go with 1440p these days for that size?

3. What kind of games do you play as 144hz is great for fps but probably a bit of overkill for some games but it can be nice.

4. Do you want a cheaper tn panel or prefer the ips panel monitors for better color quality?

This is probably the best dell tn monitor for a 27 inch 144 hz for a decent price I can find really:

Unfortunately unless you have a ton of dell credit and such it's a lot cheaper on other sites like amazon.

Mostly FPS games like ARMA III, CSGO, Overwatch Dayz etc.

Not really sure. I've never had an IPS. I heard people talk about them, but don't know what that would add to my life.

This looks good, but seems pricey for a TN....but then again I've just started to look. It's the perfect shape and size and looks clean. thanks.

I'm looking at the U2717DA. It's 27" IPS and small bezel, but only 60hz. really think that 120Hz should be the minimum. does it matter that my other monitors will be 60Hz?

Well I ended up getting the S2016DG. In all it was $450, which isn't all that bad. I'm hoping for the best.

Guessing that's a typo and you really meant S2716DG. If so I picked one up on sale at BestBuy a couple of week ago and it's very nice! Just takes a little bit of tweaking and the image is very nice for a TN panel.
