I'm looking for some help in choosing a new set of monitors. Circumstances have forced me to upgrade my video card and that has started me to think about my monitor choice as well.
what circumstance you ask? Nvidia's 1080 gtx card has captured me and I can't get away. I must upgrade my HD7970...
So i currently have 2 x Dell S2409W monitors that are great, but I want something greater.
My goal is to support gaming mostly. I use it for work and other things, but Gaming is the most graphic intensive app that I use, so that's what I'm spec'ing for. I don't play any specific genre of games...CSGO...BF4...BF1 etc.
My current Graphics card is the 7970HD, but I'm moving to the 1080gtx FTW when it's available.
What I care about in a monitor is:
1) HDMI and DVI or multiple HDMI -- I toggle between work and home and want to leave everything hooked up. Today I have 1 x HDMI and 1 x DVI and that works
2) the smaller the bezel the better
3) I would love to have a USB hub in the monitor, but that's totally optional
4) I like a nice stand, but if the bezel is really small, I'll probably buy a dual monitor mount.
5) I would love to go with 3 monitors if the price was right.
6) If I can buy from Dell I have a 25% off coupon and employee discount that would help too.
