Technically, the aircraft he'd board after noon EST on Jan. 20th cannot be AF1 because AF1 is only designated to an aircraft when the President is on board. Trump, after noon on the 20th, won't be pres., thereby won't board any aircraft designated AF1 unless with the current pres.
I understand the designation...but if he flies to Scotland about the aircraft currently designated as "Air Force 1," he shouldn't be allowed to reboard that same airplane, regardless of its designation. (unless he's returned to the USA in handcuffs as a matter of pure expediency)
