I believe that my connection between my speakers and my sound card is loose. My Klipsch Promedia v2-400 speakers make a buzzing sound when the miniplug connector is in certain orientations in the connection with the sound card. I have tried other sound cards and other computers with the speakers and the same buzzing happens whenever it is connected in any but a small range of orientations for the plug. When the buzzing is occuring, no other sound comes out of the speakers. When I turn or lift the end of the plug, I can get it so that sound comes out of the speakers perfectly. I've been having this problem for months now and I have tried taping it in place and such, but it always seems to get in the wrong position somehow and start making buzzing sounds after a random time of use. It may be that the bass is causing the cord to wiggle around a little or something. Is there any way that I can get this to stop? I was thinking that maybe I could get an adapter for a miniplug to some other type of plug and an adapter from the other type of plug back to a miniplug and use both. That would make it so that the speakers aren't directly connected and possibly I could tape the connection in place. It says on the Klipsch site that they use miniplugs, which I assume are the 1/8" kind as opposed to the 3/32" type, so I could go with two adapters that switch from one to the other and back. Does anyone think that this might solve the problem or have a better solution?
