Are you at all familiar with South Africa?

As for how... when the entire police force, legislative staff and judicial staff is white it's quite easy for one race to subjugate the other.

New Orleans cops are the lowest paid (~$24k?). But they make up for it with bribes/mafia kickbacks/drug resells to rival gangs after raids.
The crookedest cops in America.

Yeah....when you go to the deep south, white people are a smaller percentage of the population. When you get into certain areas, you'll be lucky to spot 1 white person out of 50 blacks. I guarantee white people are "looting" too....Originally posted by: Eli

Roast me all you want, it's just an observation.
I count 1.
Pretty fascinating really.... Is there anybody that can explain such behavior without being racist?

Not to jump in on your pow-wow, but what could South Africa possibly have to do with any of this? Saying something happend in one place doesn't mean it happens everywhere; there was a nuclear disaster in Russia, does that mean any nuclear reactor is gonna blow?
Don't say "Well, nuclear reactors have nothing to do with this either". It was a generalization that everyone can understand.

Actually the blurb beside the picture clearly states that they "found" the items in a grocery store. They weren't just "floating by." So yeah... Nice try.Originally posted by: Toasthead

If you are going to quote a blurb, please state what it actually said and not what you want it to say. It clear states, "Two residents wade through chest-deep water after finding bread and soda from a local grocery store..." The word from can suggest many of things since the picture is only a snapshot of a moment and time and does not suggest what the writer experienced them doing before hand. You somehow swapped out the word from in the blurb and put in your own biased in to suggest that they where in the store looting it.
The second picture where the term looting was used can be very valid and the right hand holding a 12 pack does not mean that the large black bag is not full of "loot." Again, the writer of that blurb watch this individual take part in an activity before snapping the picture which is seen in the statement, "..after looting a grocery store in New Orleans..." That means that the act already happened and the picture is later.
Finally, Chris Graythen and Dave Martin are two seperate journalist/photographers and there accounts and description can vary. One my consider these acts as finding and the other my see them all as looting. One picture is from the AP and the other is AFP so grouping them together as if the same writer put the tags "looting" and "finding" on the same act is far fetched.
