FYI, the LOTR DVD Set coming out this Tuesday will be different from the Special Edition later this year.
Aside from the Special Edition being the EXTENDED VERSION, it will also have extras/bonuses not found on the "Standard 2-Disc Edition".

*BUT* The Extra/Features found on the "Standard 2-Disc Edition" will not be found on the Special Edition 4-Disc Set. So to summarize: the extras/features/bonues on both sets will be different and will not be the same at all. I'm buying both editions...

The widescreen version is the same version that showed in theaters. (black bars on top & bottom because theater screen is wider than your TV)

The Pan & Scan version is a version that has been cropped to fit most televisions. Basically, the Pan & Scan version has the sides chopped off so you don't get the complete picture. The fact that they call it "full screen" is EXTREMELY misleading.

Well, waddya know, they did the same thing to me. Not only that, but I checked my previous orders and found they did the same thing back in February with A.I., charging me tax on $22.99 instead of the final price of $19.99.

I think everyone should be checking all of their past pre-orders. I called and the guy said he couldn't adjust the tax, but that it would be looked into and I will be contacted about it, and an adjustment made if an error is found. We shall see...

Best Buy will email you the coupon a few days after the movie ships. I believe you have until today to order the DVD online and
get the coupon.

I also ordered at 19.99 and got it shipped to me with the price of 15.99 just 3 days later. Nice of them.
