Is there really that little to do @ 60?

Well I downloaded the 10GB+ free trial. Tried to get it to run - just hangs on black screen as soon as the game launches. Spent almost an hour dredging through the tech support to find the "top 4 reasons why you get a black screen on launch" - LMAO . Did all 4 of them. Still get black screen. Wow, 3 hours of trouble shooting later and I still can't get the game to work. Guess I won't be subscribing *eyeroll*
But other than that it seems like a great game. lolz

Folks just signing up on BW, it's probably the most populated of the servers and thus has it's own set of problems.
Joemonkey, make sure you visit your class trainer and learn your active and passive skills as you level (new bow skills, evade & parry skills, armor & weapon proficiencies, etc...). I would recommend staying away from the Woodworker craft set. As it's your first character, I would suggest Explorer.

Depends on your perspective. Moria did start to become a drag and then Lothlorien was added with recent update. Now my L60 spends most of his time in Lothlorien unless I'm running raids/instances with my kin.
Edit: There's always PvP in the Ettenmoors at L60 if you're into that. Personally, I never venture out there.

This gives no one any help to help you.
What resolution is your desktop at? What graphics card? Current drivers? What res is the game at on launch? Is the game in windowed or full screen mode?...etc

I just hit level 10 and now don't know wtf to do with my destiny points or traits or anything
I did pick the explorer trait just so I can make my own armor. Crafting is pretty neat so far.

Well I got it figured out. The first time through I checked for sound driver updates with vista because I figured that would be sufficient. It didn't update. This time I went to mobo website and downloaded the driver manually. Fixed the issue. Guess I was just being lazy. Never had this kind of a problem with a sound driver.
I only played for 10 minutes or so last night because it was past my bedtime. I'm kind of underwhelmed with the graphics. Even at max resolution on ultimate settings it still looks pretty mediocre, IMO. Don't know what I was expecting though.

traits just read what they do and pick what sounds good
And destiny points...well let's put it this way, i have over four thousand sitting there. I think i've used them once to extend the enhanced XP bar. The buffs are all temporary so tbh i'm waiting for something cool to come along to spend them on...probably in vain

do you know what I have to "buy" if i want to keep trying it for a month? Do I have to pay $50 to get the "game" that is already downloaded + the first month included? Or do I just start paying the monthly fee?
