2000 acres and zero percent contained. This is only a few miles from me. I am preparing to evacuate.
You from SD? First good luck. Second, I guess I shouldn't be heading your way next week?

Looks like there's a fire in SD now, the Lilac Fire. Not too big yet.

The fire is 35 miles away from San Diego. Just don't go to Lego land and you will be fine. You from SD? First good luck. Second, I guess I shouldn't be heading your way next week?

I hope Jules is OK and that he packed his watches, just in case.
Hey, did Jules ever make it back? Sure hope that all his BMWs, Rolexes and polo ponies made it through the fire OK.
I'm fine. We didn't evacuate even though we received a call on Thursday night saying we should evacuate. The winds had died down and our neighbor was going to stick it out so we decided to as well. He said he was going to be up all night watching the news and that he would let us know if he decided to leave. We said we would do the same. If the winds hadn't died down we would have left.
Fire is 90% contained as of today.
All our shit is fine.
I have taken the 76 to Pechanga, right through the fire area, does this mean I drove right by you?
Wow got lucky there, must be nerve wracking being that close. When you're under evac does your work still expect you to be there? That would suck being at work and thinking that you might be losing everything while you're stuck there.
I guess not that you could do much if the fire did come your way. Garden hose won't really cut it.
Los Angeles is not burning. At least not the important part (where I live). Everything is fine although the 405 has been useless north of Rosecrans since the fires started.
