I began having problems with my second computer where it would lose its network connection after a minute or two. I found by unplugging and plugging the Ethernet cable right back in, it would work again, but only for a minute.
Then I added a NIC card and disabled the onboard LAN. Wouldn't you know it but the network stayed steady and never died on me.
So I decided, what the heck, I've wanted to upgrade this computer anyway, this is a good excuse. I had an AM2 mobo, bought a 5600+, then had to buy the memory when I realized the memory from the 939 wasn't recyclable.
Get everything set up and wouldn't you know it, it's doing it again! Network connection dies, I unplug and reconnect the LAN wire and it works fine. WTH???
Both were nVidia powered. I upgraded drivers when I swapped mobos. This is nuts. ANy ideas? Please help. Thanks.
