AGAIN I will ask, why did Locke blow up the submarine?!?!? just because it existed didn't mean his 'dad' could find him neccesarily.

so it's still following the theme of being "lost" and finding one's self and dying. still sorta like a purgatory

They just told you. He didn't want his dad to be able to ever find him. If Jack had left and tried to get help people might find the island. It's also why Locke blew up the communications building.

IT JUST HIT ME.

The man who conned Locke out of his kidney, is the man who conned Sawyer's parents!

hahaha, that is friggin insane, hope it's true

Whoa. My prediction just got stronger. NOW - Sawyer will be able to kill him.

eeeeeeeeeeh...that requires such a leap of logic it's ridiculous....his dad wouldn't TRY to find him, he's already a fugitive. He has no more sway over Locke.

Well, that and he is afraid that he'll never be able to walk again if he does leave.

right, but I'm saying why does that mean NO ONE can leave. I dunno, the logic was shaky. The thing with his dad kinda makes sense...but it's a bit of a jump....the whole "i might never walk if I leave here" is a huge leap

locke is a little nutty if you havent noticed already.

the guy was in a wheelchair and crashing on the island was a catalyst for him walking again. then being stranded on an island and obsessing about it i'm sure had no effect on his already fragile mental capacity from one heck of a ****** up past.

blowing up the submarine is in no way outside the realm of locke's actions.

i think the season is starting to pick up, and i hope the end result is not stupid. but i dont see stupid yet.

But this dad could have found him while he was wheel-chaired after the incident.

It's not like went into hiding right after the accident.

Locke's logic is always shaky. Get used to it. He's one of the most dumb and idealistic characters ever in the show.... kinda like our President you know?

At first Locke seemed nuts, when he smiled at Kate with an orange peel in his mouth amidst the crying injured people at the plane wreck.

Later it was hinted that Locke is shaman-like. I liked that.

This season they've twisted Locke into a lose cannon selfish kook.

I liked his character more when he seemed attuned to special mystical knowledge.
The guy who plays Locke seems like a very good actor.

I think it is along the same lines as Jack seeing his Dad, Echo seeing his brother, the white horse, the polar bears, etc etc etc

Another mystery at the end of another episode. Who knew?

I watch this show @ 9 EST... I'll be careful not to spoil it for all of you one of these weeks

Are we absolutely positive that Locke blew up the submarine? If so, why was he soaking wet as he walked back from the pier? He obviously went inside the submarine so are we to assume he planted the explosives internally or did he go under water to plant them on the outside of the submarine, to be sure of creating a more damaging blow?
