waaaaaaah, waaaaaaah, they didn't answer enough questions, waaaaaah. so stop watching, stop posting in this thread and go away. otherwise, you're going to watch and you're going to like it.

I'm sure a few people will die in the finale...question is how many and who?

one things no one has mentioned, when young ben goes into the forest the first time, the guy with the long hair that he meets, i'm pretty it was Richards, the same RIchards that told Locke about Ben etc, that they're happy with his leadership, i mean the guy that gave locke the file about sawyer. any thoughts??? am i the only one who saw this?

That was heavily discussed in the 3x20 thread I believe. He was identified as Richard with no signs of aging.

ooops, i watched 20 and 21 yesterday, mixed episodes.

This was probably one of the worst episodes for the whole series.

It went back to the whole "make more questions than answer" formula the phucktard writers are used to.

No mention of Locke, no mention of Jacob, no logic behind when the survivors should "definitely" expect the others and nobody stepping up and chopping of that blonde cvnts head (who apparently can't be trusted for sh!t).

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why do I bother watching.
What is wrong with you? I agree with your criticisms about other episodes, but this episode explained why nobody is hearing them off the island despite Danielle's signal (it's being jammed), told you that Alex does question that Ben is her father, told you why Danielle was taking the dynamite... and what questions do you have from that episode that won't be answered in the next episode? (Charlie's fate, the results of the attacks, etc.)

Not a ton
happened in this episode, other than the writers giving Dominic a last shining moment (which is why I'm sure he's a goner). He overcame his fear, became a hero, passed on his legacy, etc. It's setting us up to feel bad when he drowns in the next episode (I'm convinced Desmond's premonition will come true).

Not a ton happened.....exactly.

It's not a season opener. It's the episode leading to a season closer.

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING was answered, but more questions and mysteries arised.

I doubt the SEASON FINALE (caps for a reason) will answer these and the last few episodes' mysteries that keep popping up. It's only a 25 minute show if you cancel out the phucking flashbacks and commercials.

What do you think will be answered in that time without an exponential increase in questions for season 4?

It's almost like you guys work for the producers of lost. This show is turning into a waste of time... like this thread.

edit: I am calling it right now.... Desmond's premonition will not come true, guaranteed.

Wow...I guess we know where your name comes from, because you are being a complete tool.

Ilmater clearly stated what was answered, so you saying that absolutely nothing was answered is ridiculous.

Also, the season finale is two hours long, I don't know how you got 25 minutes of show from that.

Sure there will be questions going into season 4. Every single series on the planent will have questions unaswered at the end of a season. For instance, my wife and I watched the finales for Ugly Betty and Grey's Anatomy last night, and both had a bunch of questions raised and unanswered during the episode.

Finally, as has been stated multiple times in this thread, and every other thread, if you hate the show so much, stop watching it. Nobody here works for the producers of Lost. The only waste of time comes from people replying to your remarks, trollboxolio

I'm thinking Charlie's not going to die either... originally when I read the spoilers I thought that made sense, but seeing as he did a piss poor job saying goodbye to Clare, he'll probably be back. I think he'll finally prove he didnt have a crappy life by succeeding in flipping the switch( or a poor excuse for a life, as he said himself before clocking Desmond) .

Anyone else notice the looking glass station doesn't look dilapidated like the other dharma stations did on the outside? The inside was a different story though.

I think it could go either way at this point. It's almost like they are setting it up way too much for him to die this time. If there was someone else in the boat with Charlie other than Desmond, I would expect that person to die instead. However, there's so much more back story they can do with Desmond that I doubt they'll kill him off. Plus, I'm giving him the highest odds to make it to the end of the series. I think Charlie may die in the season finale, but I don't think he's going to drown.

My money's on Sayid dying and taking out a few of the Others with him. Charlie will probably get back to the camp, pick up the ring, reunite with Claire, get shot in the back by Ben or Juliette (possibly a stretch), and with his last words he officially gives the ring to Aaron. <boom> end of season 3

If Sayid dies, I'm never watching this show again. So they better not kill him off.

I wouldn't be happy to see him go either, but he seems like the odd man out. People would scream if Jack, Sawyer, or Kate died, but most wouldn't for Sayid. Charlie will die, but it will not be an expected death.

Its not a power cable, its the cable that runs from the flame to the looking glass (Mikhail said something about it when sayid and them 1st met him). They dont cut it because theres no reason to since the thing it was connected to is blown up.

perfectly fine with that

as far as i'm concerned, if none of the MAIN characters die in this season, i don't see them dying in later seasons. seeing as Sawyer avenged his parents, and you'd think that would cause him to die (like Ecko, etc), and hasn't, it seems to me the writers aren't going to get rid of any of the main characters, just minor big characters (charlie, sun, etc?)

and as i said before, sayid is my favorite, so if he dies, i quit watching lost.

Ya, I like Sayid too. Of all the characters still alive he has the darkest past and seems to have redeemed himself the most. That doesn't stop him from being a badass when necessary though.

Not sure who I'd like seen killed. Except Ben, but I suspect he won't.

I'm nearly 100% sure that it's a power cable. I think Sayyid has said as much. He only followed it because it was a power cable... if he thought it was just a tethering cable, why wouldn't he have followed it out to sea? He thought maybe power was coming IN to the island from it, and that's why he followed it into the jungle.

That was before he had those blueprints he was showing off in yesterday's show. It might LOOK like a power cable, but once he had the schematics of the island he called it a tethering cable, I'm sure of it.

The Other has confiscated a few guns off people who were carrying them, but there were no less than 50 rifles, shotguns, and pistols in that weapons cache in the hatch, and last I knew of them Sawyer had buried them somewhere on the island. He eventually told everyone else where they were, so why are the Losties suddenly down to 2 pistols and Rousseau's rifle?

i don't think they're down to 3 guns. they only want 3 shooters to stay on the beach though, 1 for each pile of dynamite. they want the rest of the people to be far away from the fight.

Same thing I thought. They would mark 3 tents and needed just 3 shooters to blow the dynamite.

I don't think they were down to 3 guns either. They are down to 1 gun. They asked Danielle for her Rifle and then Kyle gave them is gun and we saw Bernard shooting the 12 guage shotgun. Now they are up to 3.

But they say they need another GUN, and that's why the kid gives his gun to them. He doesn't say he'll fire it, he says they can take his gun. They needed another gun, THEN they have the argument about who the third shooter is going to be.

Yes, it was mentioned many times after that episode (search for "Lost 3x20"). He was the person that recruited Juliette. He was the person that "recruited" Ben to the Hostiles. He was the person that gave the files to Locke.

I'll tell you this - and I'm sure of this... he's the most important "Other". Even if he's not openly the leader, he's got more say in what goes on there than Ben does. I think Ben somehow got leadership of the group when he first brought Jacob to them or showed them what Jacob was. Somehow, Ben uses Jacob and his spectre to keep control of everyone. Richard is not happy about him being leader and wants to come back to power. Also, he's been there longer than Ben, so he likely knows more than Ben does. So his friendships with people on the island are stronger than Ben's.

Again, importance is a tough thing to measure, but he's the most important Other in my mind.

Here's a theory: Mikhail, Richard and others were stranded on the island just like the Losties. They were being messed with just like the Losties are now, and so they fought back and won. Richard feels a sympathy for them and realizes that they are where he once was. Mikhail likes being in control on the island, so while he somewhat empathizes with the Losties, he doesn't exactly wish them well.

I also think that Ben gave the Hostiles the information about what the Dharma initiative was doing on the island - at least they think he did. What he actually gave them could have been the truth, or more likely, the truth as it best suited him to be. That's why they held him in such high regard.

Yeah I would agree that Ben is probably an outsider to the others. I'm just thinking about Ethan Rom, and how hard it was for them to kill him in season 1. The "original" Others have some kind of super health/strength thing that comes from the island, hence them staying young and Ethan needing to be shot like 10 times to be killed.
