Watched the DVD last night. Didn't do anything for me. It wasn't very interesting. I like slow moves, but this was just boring.

I watched IRobot this morning. What a great movie.

Didn't especially like it but think the movie did what it set out to do which was make me feel the characters' loneliness/hopelessness...

I. robot is not bad, I like movies that put my 7.1 sound system to good use. It had decent Cg, and a good pace

I didn't invest $1000's of dollars in a widescreen tv, stereo, speakers, to watch a movie that's to cheap to even record in DD5.1

at the end bill murray whispered something to scarlett, then she smiled. I personally think Bill said something in terms of "I really appreciate your friendship" or something like that...

They both realize that they cant do anything to be together.. since both of them have a totally separate life.
I've always imagined it to be, "Life sorta sucks, doesn't it? Thanks for the brief escape, and have a great life."

He put it much more eloquently of course

Where is the plot going? It just seems aimless and the relationship development is stagnant and overdragged...

I have about 30 mins left, Scarlett Johasson is aimlessly walking around temple...

Plot:

Married man and a younger woman on a business trip meet and fall in love. The man goes home to his wife and family.

I thought it was great - It's about the relationship (doesn't have to be sexual) between two lonely people in a strange city. I really enjoyed how surreal the whole movie came off, it's something I can relate to. The lights of the city, the view from high up, the swimming pool on one of the top floors... Lots of people don't get it, but you have to be patient and really pay attention. Also, I've had this type of frienship with a few girls myself.

yeah it's slow. It also seems like it's one of those movies that people either really like or absolutely hate

Yeah, I also feel like it's one of those movies that needs to be watched in the theaters because it is slow but it's also amazing. Being at home provides too many distractions.

LIT really reminds me of European movies. Hollywood usually goes for sensationalism, guns, explosions, car chases, and casual Sex. European movies usually(at least the ones I've seen) usually deal with the consequences of things, especially on the personal level. Sure, Bill Murray could have porked that chick, but reality set in and he made the noble choice.

Great movie, just be prepared to put your thinking cap on.

I am not surprised that people on this forum do not like or understand this movie. It does not have kung fu grip, lasers, pie in the face humor, warp speed, or adolescent rebellion. It is just about two people meeting in Japan and their experiences.

Don't get me wrong, I like movies that have kung fu grip but I like other types of movies too.
