Not as far as I know. As long as they have the item in stock, they'll take it. I've never tried it myself, but I've had numerous acquaintances tell me that when they lose a receipt for a fairly common item, they just take it right back to Walmart.

Hrmm. I don't know if a bluray player would be all that common, but it might be worth a try. I wonder if there is a way to find out if they carry it?

most manufacturers want RECEIPT and Proof of Purchase for Warranty repairs.
