Lost Windows password- anyway to recover it?

Well I lost the password to one of my rigs i havent used in a while, and I can't get back into any of the accounts. I tried something like NTpswd but it couln't detect any of my drives or windows installations. Maybe becuase it dosen't reconize SATA?

I don't really know what to do right now and im stumped. Seeking help from atot

It seems as if alot of these solutions need to have them burned to CD. If only this crappy dell im on right now had a CD burner...

I guess I'll try that NT one that can boot from floppy again, maybe for some god forbidden reason it will work.

Well I did what that site said and everything really worked. But the problem is now im stuck at the part where windows is trying to install devices. the progress bar just dosent move. I don't know if I should just restart the computer?

Hmmm... never had that problem... I did those steps probably about 2 months back with no problems. Let it sit and do it's thing if the install process hasn't frozen up (mouse can still move, animations are still animating) ... if it's frozen, restart.

It worked! yeah my mouse was still working and the slides were still going, but it sat at 35 mins for like a hour. Anyways, it worked! Use this method. Its awesome.
