LOTR: ROTK Question: What happend to the Saromon or whoever the first white wizzard was?

In ROTK it shows the tree folks guarding the tower with him in it, but it never goes back to him for the rest of the movie?

The scene that deals with him was cut from the movie. Seven minutes in total.
It is called "The Voice Of Sauroman" IIRC and will be in the EE dvd.

His end in the book is different than the movie.

You'll have to wait for the extended edition to see it as Peter Jackson filmed it, because the part was cut from the movie. I don't know how it will occur in the movie, but I'm fairly sure Wormtoung kills Saruman.

In the books, the hobbits return to the Shire to find it's been taken over by someone calling himself "sharkey". This is the "scouring of the shire" that wasn't filmed for the movie. The hobbits take over again and wormtoung cuts saruman's throat and kills him.

Sarumon ends up as Gandalf's lover in the book.

The Voice Of Saurman is actually in book "3" at the end of the first part of The Two Towers. after Helms deep they go to isengard and talk to him. Gandalf try?s to reason with him and so does Théoden. they try to get him to join their side. but he refuses. then Gandalf breaks his staff which makes him basically powerless. wormtoung throws down the palantir at them and pippin picks it up and Gandalf takes it.

saruman stays in isengard guarded by the ents

he eventually escapes and goes to the Shire and causes trouble. At the end or ROTK mary pippin, sam and Frodo go back and drive him out and kill him I believe

Where the hell is Sauron?!?!?! Yeah I read the books and all, and maybe it's because I played one too many video games in my day -- BUT I EXPECT A BOSS FIGHT AT THE END! That sucked. They build up Sauron for the whole book then he never appears.

He was in the first one. He was never powerful enough to regain a physical form in the movies. PJ could have brought him in as a physical entity, but it'd have pissed off all the diehard fans.

The ring is destroyed, hence so is Sauron.

LOL! Maybe that's why I was only 60% satisfied with the defeat of Sauron's big eye. Subconsciously, I must have expected a boss fight.

I was kind of hoping that the tower would fall over such that the "eye" would get "poked out" by that smaller tower it was falling towards. I figured it wouldn't because that'd be too silly for such a serious film, but I had my fingers crossed once it started to collapse

he finds it in the book. after wormtoung throws it down. it glances off the railing where saruman was standing and just misses Gandalf. Smashes into the stairs and starts rolling through the water. he picks it up so it doesn?t roll into a pit

What do you mean no BOSS FIGHT? It occured between Frodo, the Ring, and Gollum. Sauron never got the ring, so was never a BOSS. The true BOSS was the Ring.

Also, Saruman did not escape from Orthanc. Treebeard/Fangorn let him go.

Yeah, I know but they fail to include the first 3/4 of that in the movie.
