I thought that there was a version coming out that had 2+ hours of additional footage but I may be mistaken. IS this true? If so, then I'll wait but otherwise this one has a TON of footage that I'd be interested in.

Does anyone know about all the different footage. I'm interested in all the footage that this one has + more on-screen footage. I want to wake up on a weekend morning and do nothing all day but watch LOTR

It's nice and all... but what's the T-shirt look like?

while surfing around looking at all different versions, it seems the "director's cut" is the same
as the extended version... so there should only be two version, not three.

there are 2 versions:

the theatrical release that is out now.

the extended edition which is due out in november. the other set is the extended edition w/ bookends, trading cards, and an extra dvd which is the national geographic making of video.

I believe the extended version had an additional 30min of footage.
