The Oakland Tribune claims that the $94.95 60 GB 7200 RPM UDMA/100 hard drive is an OEM Maxtor with a 3 year warranty. I guess that's not quite as hot as last weekend's Seagate Barricuda IV for $75 after $25 MIR, but not too shabby either.
So all this stuff seems to be on sale Friday only. Is there another sales flyer for the rest of the weekend?
Fry's has some great combos. Does anyone know is there is a discount on the George Foreman Mean Fat Reducing Machine and the George Foreman Grill?
Some other items mentioned in the Trib:
Elsa MicroLink PCI 56K Modem free after $20 MIR. Elsa site mostly down, no further details, but seems to support W2K.
Sony 4 Head Hi-Fi VCR with commercial skip, $89.
Samsung ML-1210 Laser Printer, $100 after $100 MIR. 12 PPM, USB or parallel, 600 DPI.
4 port USB hub, free after $6 MIR.
17" monitor, $69 after $50 and $20 MIR.

<< Can please someone send me a scan of the George Foreman grill for sale for $9.99. This is a really hot deal! I live in Southern Califonia and the Fry's here has it for $13. I want to see if I can pricematch the bay area fry's. Does anyone know if this is possible? Thanks, John >>

You're trying to eek out three bucks by pm'ing this thing? Won't the gas over there cost $3 round trip alone?

I just can't comprehend all that for three bucks!

<< Dallas stores, but I did just get back from picking up the $89 mb/cpu combo + $5.99 volcano5 fan >>

Is the $5.99 Volcano5 good for this entire weekend? Is it the one with the 32cfm/31db 60mm fan? I might pick one up to replace my current 60mm Black Label Delta fan (46.5db... what?? i can't hear you!!), that thing is starting to annoy the heck out of me.

iwearnosox,

$3 is a decent amount to save on something that inexpensive. That would pay for the gas trip to Fry's for me. Every little bit of money saved helps. What's little to one person, may not be for another person.

I agree with geckojohn totally about how much you should spend on certain things. 3 bucks might not be alot of money to u. But it is a good way to learn how to manage your liquid asset for the future success.

I just picked up the GeForce3 Ti200 from this deal. It's an OEM box and the label on it says MSI. It's a green board so it's not red like their retail models and does not have a fan on the heatsink. But for $99 after MIR, wow.

Hot deals are killing me- ugh!

Grabbed a laser printer for $100, amazing deal on this highly rated printer. Go grab one now or regret it later! (Samsung ML-1210) Very fortunate for me as I just killed my old laser by accidentally leaving a cf card on the paper. It sucked it in and prompty tore up the drum!

Got some cd holders, $5 itself is a hot deal on these even without the $5 rebate. Got 4 spools of the $7 cdr's, $5 optical meeces, and a free xm radio for my car- I got home and noticed the girl forgot to ring me out for it. I even passed the door inspection without a notice from them or me. Huh.

Oh yeah, got the barracuda 80gb 7200rpm drive for $89 AR, and the george foreman grill for $10 too.

What a great day at fry's.

Any updates on whether this is valid Friday, March 15th only, or will the deals be available the rest fo the weekend, too? I couldn't make it during their store hours today.

Which part of "One day sale--3/15/02" isn't clear?

Not to be rude, but the magical sale extending fairy doesn't frequent AT, I think.

i purchased several goodies during this one day sale..

32x-10x-40x burner for $89
SiPix 2.1 megapixel digital camera for $124
2 50 packs of GQ 80 min cds for $7 each
128 mb flash memory card for $38

the 32x burner is packaged as a PAcific Digital drive.. although after installation it is shown as the BTC BCE3212IM drive.. interesting..

as for the SiPix 2.1 megapixel camera.. for the price it is decent.. we first picked up the toshiba one.. however it did not have a video out for it and i found that a necessary feature.. although the free gifts through the mail were tempting.. it was just a 32mb smart media card.. some batteries and case..

the GQ cdrs weren't anything new to me.. as i always use these brand of cds.. been using them since they first came out.. however these were branded as 32x compatible.. but in the latest version of nero.. it wouldnt let me burn faster than 24x..

Hey Airmax:

If you are not inclined to keep the Duron/ECS combo and fan, please let me know. I can use another cheap PC and there are no Fry's around here in the MidWest.

Thanks.

I bought an enclosure for another drive so it might be the same. There are some side moulding pieces that just snapped on
that covered the clamshell connection points. You might want to see if you can unsnap them. Also, the screws for connecting
the drive might be on the bottom under the stickers for required info. Mine came with the stickers and it's obvious they end
up hiding the screws.

good luck

ps. I got in on the mobo/cpu deal. not bad. However, my volcano fan sounded like an airplane - switched to a coolmaster.
