I don't post often. Hell I can't remember the last time I posted to this forum. It was likely many years ago. Anyway I'm calling out the anandtech sense of legitimacy. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy Louis Theroux but this program is silly. I suspect they cut out many people's stories to pull off this program. I suspect it is not really an accurate representation of what they filmed to make this story. Maybe they got really lucky but I doubt it. I suspect they filmed a bunch and picked the two best stories with different outcomes and to me that is a cop out. It is not an accurate representation of the world we live in. I expect more out of the bbc and theroux but value the anandtech community. so watch this and let me know if you think it is an accurate representation of what they really filmed for this story. I think it was a professional editing job and pushed what seems like unrealistic hope happening. If theroux is man enough to comment on this story and bring in any other patients he talked to I will bow out but I think there was a lot left on the cutting room floor and this is not an accurate representation of the people he encountered for this story. it is scripted and sculpted for a good story and has altered what I think about what he does. Sure it makes for a great story but it also probably gives unrealistic hope to people in a similar situation.
