Low 3dmark06 score?

an opteron 170 oc'd to 2.75
mushkin value 2x1gb running at 180ish mhz can't use the better divider because ram won't make it to 225
geforce 7800gt!


isn't 4090 a low score, especially for a dual core system? i remember getting about 7000 in 05 before changing and overclocking my dual core, i'll go install that and report back.

6953 in 3dmark05!! what the hell?? a LOWER score? before, i had a stock 3200 at 2.0. now i have a dual core at 2.75! i did the dual core fixes...grrr i'm using 94.24 drivers.

went back to stock settings. 6938 in 05...still lower than i used to have with my single core...with memory running at 1t instead of 2t...what the hell??

normal? oh, normal means if i downgraded to a 7600gt and a sempron i would see HIGHER scores, correct?

That's pretty normal for an overclock that isn't stable, although your scores shouldn't go down that much. It's most likely because of the video drivers you're using. Try the 91.31's, they're much better for the 7-series, I've noticed.
