Low bench scores :(

Ok, so I hooked up a pcie sapphire x1950xt for my rigg to extend it's life a little before I do a complete system overhaul. The rest of my system is as my sig says. Only that my CPU oc is no longer stable (Im guessing it's coz of the gpu's higher power requirements) so I'm running the CPU and memory at stock.

After running a couple of benches I came up with this:

3dmark01SE ~ 23,300
3dmark03 ~ 16,600
3dmark05 ~ 8,800
3dmark06 ~ 4,200

After looking at a couple of scores from reviews and other guys, these scores appear to be too low for the X1950XT. So I'm wondering, what's wrong?

I'm running on XP Pro SP2 and catalyst 7.3

What makes it worse is that my previous card was a sapphire X800XT 256MB and I got the SAME 3dmark01SE scores with that card as this new one!!!!! That's just not right!

Any suggestions? I just want my rigg running as it should!!!

Cpu limited, the scores are just fine for you cpu, dont worry

Yep - most of those scores you're comparing to are probably running dual-core, and 3DM 05/06 adds ~1000 points for DC.

Also, 2001SE should be the same. The videocard doesn't even factor in anymore for that, only CPU.

That system seems awesome to me. I am sure youll have problems at high settings in some games , but I would definately be happy with those scores. My socket 939 system never got over 5k 05marks with my 6800gt!

Your score seems a bit low to me.

What are your SM3, Sm2 scores?

Can you give the link to your score that is posted on the ORB?

I get 6400 3Dmarks on '06 and I highly doubt my second core gave me 2200 3dmarks more than your single core.

So then it's my CPU huh? I guess I just didn't want to believe it. Looks like I'd better start thinking about an e6400... or should I just wait for Agena? Nah, that's too long to wait.

@Matt2 - what's your system spec like? My '06 scores are as follows:

3DMark Score 4323 3DMarks
SM2.0 Score 2087
HDR/SM3.0 Score 2305
CPU Score 784

I guess the CPU score says it all, lol! Paltry to say the least.
