Unless you need ASP support, dixiesys is probably a better bet. Same prices, more storage and bandwidth. I guess this might be warm with the ASP support.

witha support forum that barely has any posts and a home page with broken links like that....definaltely staying away from this. I have an account with dixiesys and preformance has been top notch. Same day responce to emails, same day setup, relatively fast transfers....definately a great company for a beginning website.

Brad: Just wondering, how did you find this site? I don't see them on any directories.

Also, how long have you been hosting with them?

And finally: You said they answered your support requests right away. How were you able to submit them? The support links don't appear to work for me.

I would be curious to see what city Brad lives in and what city his webhosting provider resides in

But not that new, right? Cause brad has been hosting with you for "a few months."

By the way, your link to dausscomputers.com is misspelled in your sig....

yeah I admit the site is a working progress... and yeah it isn't completed... but just becuase of that all of you have to "make fun" of a company that I'm trying to get off the ground....
Are you telling me that if (when) you started a business you had everything completely ready on day one and customers waiting at you doors. If so great. Good for you. Me... well I don't.
I appreciate the help that brad tried to do for me.... so maybe my site wasn't/isn't ready for the likes of anandtech

Ignoring whether or not people should host with you: What people are taking issue with is the promotion of the site here. "Brad" seems like more than just a customer who stumbled onto your site. Self-promotion isn't very welcome here. You can buy an ad for that.

if you're going to launch a business... then yes you should have everything ready. First impressions count alot for anyone. If stuff doesn't work on your site.. then you should have had it ready. Go learn something about business first and how to operate a company properly. Then maybe you'll get some respect.

The only self promotion that I do is what everyone else does.... in my sig. period!

So Brad has no connection to you or your company?

How has he been with you for "a few months" if you just launched?

And how was he able to get answers to support requests, when the Support and Forum links on your site don't work?

Just wondering.

You're absolutely correct.... I admit I should have more of the site in working order... and as I work on it more of it is. So maybe I jumped the gun a little and tried to open early and possibly get a few customers...

It's not a matter of having "most" of it working. It's having ALL of it working. But use this as a learning experience. Customers want to see quality. If something looks off they'll become suspicious. Everything on the net is about impression. What does the customer see and how will they respond.

I didn't say that I just launched.... and the "thanks for signing up" email contains information that isn't currently on the site... well at least as of today...
Because of this thread I've been working on adding specifically that, contact info and about info.

I realize that and that's why I haven't done much promotion besides my sig at forums and let a few people I personally know that the site is even there and operational....

...and get one of my friends to advertise the site on one of the busiest forums on the Internet, which is against the forum rules. Other than that, though...

You don't get a lot of space for the price your paying. What are these "extra" features not on cheaper sites? You said there's "a lot", but all I see differently is ASP. What other features am I supposedly getting?
