Low end gaming parts build

A few weeks ago I got solid advice here on upgrading an older system for gaming. Since then I decided to do a complete build. I followed the sticky guide for the most part.

Total 495.69 after 45 in rebates. Is this okay for the cost?

I have Windows 10 Professional and a ASUS DVD Burner to go with these parts I ordered. I may put an SSD, i5, and 16GB of memory in later on. My goal was to get a basic gaming system started for my son.

Alternatively you can get LGA1150 parts: i3-4160 + B85M-DS3H-A $145 AR, 2x4GB DDR3 RAM $30
-> save $73 but get practically the same CPU performance. Enough to buy a 250GB SSD or upgrade the graphics card to R9 380 4GB

I may put an SSD, i5, and 16GB of memory in later on.

For a gaming system, the graphics card would probably be the first thing to upgrade. R7 370 isn't terribly fast, it's fine but i3 6100 can handle faster

Thanks for replying lehtv. I used the combo deal to save a little.

If this current setup will last a year or so with his gaming I will upgrade the video card first and the other parts if they need it.
