A few weeks ago I got solid advice here on upgrading an older system for gaming. Since then I decided to do a complete build. I followed the sticky guide for the most part.
Intel Core i3-6100 3M 3.7 GHz LGA 1151 BX80662I36100 Desktop Processor
ASRock Z170 Pro4S LGA 1151 Intel Z170 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Crucial 8GB (2 x 4GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2133 (PC4 17000) Desktop Memory
Corsair Carbide Series 200R Black Steel / Plastic compact ATX Mid Tower Case
CORSAIR CX series CX500 500W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC PSU
WD Blue 1TB Desktop Hard Disk Drive 7200 RPM SATA 6 Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch
XFX Radeon R7 370 DirectX 12 R7-370P-2255 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 CrossFireX Support Double Dissipation XXX OC Video Card
Total 495.69 after 45 in rebates. Is this okay for the cost?
I have Windows 10 Professional and a ASUS DVD Burner to go with these parts I ordered. I may put an SSD, i5, and 16GB of memory in later on. My goal was to get a basic gaming system started for my son.
