low frequency multiple?

hi, i'm new to the forum. My problem is that my multiple frequency in my bios is way too low.

heres my setup:
asus a7n8x deluxe
athlon xp 2400+
2x256 corsair 3200c2

in my bios, fsb is 133 and the default frequency multiplier is 6.5. i heard that it is default at 15? anyone have a clue whats wrong? any suggestions?

oh, to clearify, in windows xp it says that it runs athlon xp 2400+ @2.0ghz. It doesnt seem like its slow, i'm thinking its just a bios error....any thoughts?

Have you updated the BIOS to the latest version?

I'm not familiar with your motherboard model but it could be that the BIOS doesnt recognise your chip, regardless of wether its working correctly or not.
